Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Routing Specialist to support daily route planning and optimization for dedicated customers across the Ryder network. You will leverage routing software to produce optimal plans and coordinate with operating teams nationwide, reporting to CI leadership.

The role requires collaboration with engineering and operations, with 1–2 hour sessions and multi-location routing. Strong communication, organization, and lean skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or SCM (or related).
• 0–1 year in Transportation or Supply Chain industry required.
• 0–1 year in Transportation experience preferred (TMS, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• MS Office suite emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Knowledge of data visualization (PowerBI/Tableau) and SQL/DAX beginner.
• Lean tools knowledge (5S, Standard Work, Visual Management) beginner.

Responsibilities

• Daily route planning for operating teams using automated processes and routing software.
• Monitor electronic processing of customer orders and routes back to DTS teams.
• Create optimal, executable, multi-stop routes per parameters and orders within a set period.
• Plan routes for multiple sessions per day across locations for 1+ customers, typically 1–2 hours each.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
