Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Routing Specialist to support continuous improvement by planning and optimizing daily routes for dedicated customers across the Ryder network. You will use routing software to create executable multi-stop routes and coordinate with operating teams nationwide.

The role interfaces with CI and engineering teams, reports to CI leadership, and requires strong communication, organization, and independent work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (or related discipline).
• 0 to 1 year in Transportation or Supply Chain industry experience.
• 0 to 1 year in Transportation Experience (Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, LTL).
• Microsoft Office Suite skills with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio (Beginner).
• Knowledge of data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX) (Beginner).
• Lean core tools/processes knowledge (5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, problem solving) (Beginner).

Responsibilities

• Performs daily route planning using automated processes and routing software.
• Monitor electronic processing of order files and returned routes to operating teams.
• Produce optimal, executable, multi-stop routes for multiple sessions daily.
• Manage route planning for multiple sessions across locations and customers.
