Ubergrippen Indoor Climbing Crag is seeking a part-time Routesetting Apprentice to join our setting team across Denver and Castle Rock locations. This entry-level role requires no prior commercial setting experience and offers a fixed setting schedule of four days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm.

The role focuses on creating world-class climbing routes for diverse climbers and developing into a professional routesetter with passion for movement and safety.

Formación

• The Route setting apprentice position is for new or aspiring routesetters with no or minimal commercial route setting experience who are excited about developing into a professional route setter.
• Must be interested in setting great routes for first-time climbers and elite team crushers.

Responsabilidades

• Gain mastery of rigging and safety equipment to UG standards.
• Set on average 2-3 routes per shift (4-8 boulders) across a range of grades.
• Participate in daily setter duties including stripping and hold wash, setup and cleanup of equipment.
• Participate in daily forerunning up to 5.12+/V7 with feedback on variables like climber size and difficulty.
• Perform wall maintenance and inspections (anchor checks, rope checks, etc.).
