Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a logistics-focused professional to manage delivery routing and driver scheduling for Performance Foodservice. The role involves calculating routes, maintaining accurate Roadnet data, and ensuring efficient use of drivers and equipment across assigned routes.

The position supports cost control, KPI reporting, and day-to-day operational excellence in a fast-paced foodservice distribution environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in procurement, warehousing, or related administrative roles.
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or distribution is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate delivery routes and times for drivers and adjust as needed.
  • Establish cost-effective routes compliant with DOT guidelines while maintaining customer service.
  • Use Roadnet to control delivery costs and optimize routes year over year.
  • Maintain routing procedures for efficient use of personnel and equipment.
  • Perform routing maintenance, including geo-coding, time windows, and driver assignments.
  • Produce costing, KPI reports, and daily/periodic performance recaps.
  • Create driver manifests and printed driving instructions for unfamiliar routes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Schedule

Sunday to Thursday 12:00 PM till done, shift average 9 hours a day, could be shorter or longer depending on the routes.



  • Responsible for calculating routes and times of deliveries, and makes the necessary adjustments for drivers and customers. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duties assigned to best serve the company.

  • Establish delivery routes which are cost effective and compliant with Federal DOT guidelines while still maintaining an acceptable level of customer service, quality and satisfaction. Utilize Roadnet application to ensure Delivery costs are held to company expected run rates year over year.

  • Establish routing procedures and schedules which allow for the optimum use of personnel and equipment while keeping a strong emphasis on driver safety.

  • Perform Roadnet application routing maintenance daily to ensure all locations have accuracte, timely, and up-to-date information: Standard Routes and Customer Delivery Requirements; Geo-Coding, delivery days, time windows, service time types, service time overrides, account types, meal beaks; Route start times, pre/post trips, starting/ending depot, travel modes, color for mapping, assigned driver, equipment and DOT road checks; Plan Maintenance equipment with regards to costing, restrictions, and capacities.

  • Perform and provide costing, off-days, maintenance, scorecard, customer and KPI reporting on scheduled intervals.

  • Perform a recap of the previous days actual routing results and make necessary changes/adjustments to the Standard routes if required.

  • Perform maintenance on backhaul locations and produce backhaul reporting to logistics as requested.

  • Make maps and print driving instructions for drivers that are not familiar with the route assigned. Produce driver manifest report and distribute nightly.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High Schiool Diploma/GED



Required Experience:


  • 1 - 3 Years

  • Procurement, warehouse and / or administrative experience in related area.

  • 3 - 5 Years

  • Transportation, Warehouse, Logistics, Distribution Center experience within foodservice industry; strong Excel skills; strong analytical skills; strong communication and organizational skills;
