Job summary

American Leather Operations LLC is seeking a Router Operator for the night shift in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on safe and efficient operation of CNC routing and wood cutting processes, including programming and feeding plywood to ensure precise wood frame components are produced.

The operator will perform setup, inspections, material handling, and inventory tasks while ensuring clean and organized work areas and reporting any machine issues to supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspection of CNC router and perform preventative maintenance adjustments (cleaning filters, tool setup)
• Program router according to job specifications
• Place sheets of plywood on CNC router
• Sort wood parts after machine cuts the plywood
• Install T-nuts according to specifications
• Load cut parts on shelves
• Deliver shelves to the framing area
• Count and report rejected parts (notify assistant supervisor)
• Clean and maintain work area
• Monitor the performance of CNC routers and report any issues

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Wood Shop Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor, the Router Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the CNC router machine or wood cutting machine (Komo). The operator programs the CNC machine and feeds sheets of plywood to the machine to ensure that the precise cuts of woods are made which in turn are used to manufacture the wooden furniture frames.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
