Job summary

Mr. Greens is seeking a Router in Austin, TX to create efficient delivery routes, considering DOT, traffic, and driver capacity. You will monitor daily routes, coordinate returns, and ensure timely deliveries for a varied client base including restaurants and retailers. Strong communication, data entry, and adaptability are essential; weekend work may be required, bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience with routing software and logistics preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).
• Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Critical analytical skills.
• Ability to adapt to change in accordance with business needs.
• Available to work weekends.
• Bilingual preferred in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Create efficient delivery routes, incorporating travel and service times, DOT restrictions, and traffic patterns.
• Plan, distribute, monitor, and follow-up daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per company standards and agreements.
• Coordinate best routes with manager, considering staffing levels and drivers’ capabilities.
• Maximize truck capacity for most efficient routes.
• Communicate areas of improvement or concerns to Drivers.
• Ensure timely deliveries to customers with time constraints.
• Coordinate pick-up of returns while ensuring efficient routing and safe load transportation.
• Pull customer orders & transfers efficiently and accurately.
• Assemble orders, transfers in identified lag areas with proper packing and labeling.
• Stack large orders on pallets and secure with stretch wrap.
• Daily checks on lift truck and battery if directed.

With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week, and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service.
