Job summary

Five Star Breaktime Solutions in Kentucky is seeking a Retail Team Leader to support retail merchandising operations at the branch level. You will assist the Retail Team Manager, coach merchandisers, and step in on vacation routes to ensure service quality and profitability.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to pass drug screening and background checks. DOT rules apply; merchandising experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of retail operations, merchandising, or route experience, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must consent to drug screen and pre-employment background check.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical route-related duties.
• Must be 21 or older to meet DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Retail Team Manager and division leadership with daily retail route operations, ensuring service quality, compliance, and profitability.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to retail merchandisers for consistent execution of standards.
• Fill in for open or vacation routes to maintain uninterrupted service and customer satisfaction.
• Load, deliver, and merchandise products (beverages, snacks, coffee, fresh food) to client locations.
• Verify orders, reconcile variances, and maintain accurate delivery and inventory records.
• Execute plan-ograms, promotions, and retail initiatives per corporate and regional guidance.
• Replenish, rotate, and display products per FIFO; maintain product freshness and proper refrigeration.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain vending/micro-market equipment and checkout areas.
• Collect and reconcile cash/coin from locations with accuracy and security.
• Monitor inventory, reorder as needed, and ensure adequate stock across accounts.
• Perform minor equipment maintenance and daily vehicle inspections per DOT and fleet policies.
• Support customer retention through excellent communication and timely service.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling policies; promote a safe, compliant work environment.
