Summary

The primary function of this position is to deliver excellent service to customers while representing the company professionally and courteously. The driver must comply with all DOT and state regulations, as well as company safety policies, when operating the 26 ft. straight truck, managing loads, and performing services. Responsible for servicing accounts efficiently, ensuring customer needs are met for waste pickup and supply delivery.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Pick up and transport waste safely according to all regulations
• Plan daily schedule based on customer needs
• Prepare and load trucks for the day’s service
• Ensure waste is properly packaged and prepared before transport
• Provide high-quality customer service and communicate issues
• Secure waste, supplies, and equipment before operation
• Complete all paperwork accurately and legibly
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle maintenance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Able to adapt to changing conditions and weather. Must have safety toe work boots and Bluetooth headphones.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; related work experience preferred
• At least 2 years of customer service experience; route management experience is a plus
• Completion of accredited driving school or 1+ years of commercial driving experience
• Valid driver’s license with a good record; CDL Class B preferred
• Ability to read maps and use computers
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certification
• Must be 25+ years old with driving experience
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and exert force as needed
