Job summary

CITY Laundering Co in Polk City, IA seeks a Route Service Representative. This full-time, customer-facing role delivers clean products, collects soiled items, and ensures routes run safely and efficiently.

You’ll build strong customer relationships, maintain high service standards, and work with the Route Supervisor to ensure on-time deliveries. Valid driver's license and ability to start at 5:00 A.M. are required; 25+ preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be 25 years or older.
• Able to commit to a 5:00 A.M start time.
• 1–2 years of job-related and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill in for or assist on any of our 17 service routes as needed.
• Provide prompt, friendly, and effective customer service.
• Load and unload delivery trucks with clean and soiled laundry.
• Deliver products accurately and on time to customer locations.
• Maintain customer satisfaction and professional relationships.
• Manage route efficiency while following all safety standards.
• Communicate positively with customers, potential customers, and coworkers.
• Maintain strong product knowledge (pricing types, colors, sizing, inventory control, availability, and product application).
• Properly load trucks, including organization of invoices, paperwork, bags, and garments.
• Maintain account appearance (rails, hanger racks, repair bags, lockers).
• Communicate truck maintenance needs promptly (repairs, preventative maintenance, cleanliness, accidents).
• Drive a commercial motor vehicle for up to 10 hours per day.
• Lift up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Maintain hygienically clean standards through proper garment handling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
