Superior Linen Service is seeking a Route Service Representative to operate a non-CDL box truck on a dedicated route, delivering products, rendering services, selling products, collecting payments, and building strong customer relationships in the Fort Smith/Van Buren area.

We require an active driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent; willingness to travel across state lines may be needed. Strong communication and basic computer skills are preferred for daily operations.

Description

Position Summary

The Route Service Presentative will operate a non-CDL, box truck on a dedicated route, delivering products, rendering services, sell products, collect payment from customers, and achieve an excellent relationship with the customer.

  • Responsibly follow all procedures, & policies with regard to Department of Transportation rules and regulations
  • Responsibly complete each day’s route with effective customer service and efficiency
  • Collect payment from customers; use a handheld computer to complete transactions and invoices
  • Works in conjunction with the office personnel and production to be assured that orders are filled and meets customer satisfaction

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Complete the days route in a timely and safe manner
  • Conduct proper inventory of customer
  • Receive soiled product and properly tag linen bags to ensure proper production counts
  • Perform daily inspection of truck before beginning of route
  • Follow all traffic laws; along with Department of Transpiration regulations
  • Demonstrates and promotes Superior Linen Service culture, values

Interpersonal

  • Communicates effectively with customer
  • High level of customer relationship by making good will calls
  • Listen to and resolve customer complaints
  • Maintain proper appearance; must be in uniform at all times

Administration

  • Verify load sheets and soil reports for accuracy every day before starting the route
  • Must maintain a Driver Qualification file, as all Route Service Representatives working for Superior Linen may be required to travel across state lines at the company’s request in order to provide service to customers or to assist in emergencies.

Education, Training and Experience

Required

  • Active Driver’s License

Preferred

  • High School Diploma, Technical Certification, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Particular Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Must exhibit self-initiative, accountability, flexibility
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Must have basic computer use skill-set
