Job summary

CertaSite is seeking a route sales & service Level II technician with a passion for life safety and customer satisfaction. The role includes inspection, testing, service and repair of extinguishers, emergency lights, and hood suppression systems.

You will perform duties in fast-paced environments, document inspections, and maintain equipment. A valid US driver’s license and strong communication skills are required; overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• 3 years of route sales and service experience in the fire life safety industry with a concentration in extinguishers, e lights and hood suppression systems
• Must possess the ability to calculate basic math including fractions, decimals and percentages
• Must currently have a valid US drivers license

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, testing, service and repairs for extinguishers, e-lights, and hood suppression systems
• Document inspections, repairs, discrepancies and recommendations
• Maintain customer relationships and pass information to appropriate personnel for quotes or questions
• Keep vehicle and equipment organized and stocked for job readiness
• Evaluate sites for additional equipment and services and discuss with customers

We are looking for a route sales & service level II technician who has a passion for the customer and life safety The perfect candidate loves people is sales oriented and can successfully perform inspectioninstallation testing service and repair required on fire extinguishers exitemergency lights and kitchen hood suppression systems This includes confirming compliancewith applicable life safety and fire safety requirements as mandated by standards and codes manufacturers requirements federal state and local ordinances customer requirements and the expectations and requirements of the company This is a fast paced and demanding role with high visibility within the company

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Perform inspection testing service and repairs as required for fire extinguishers exitemergency lights and pre engineered suppression systems such as six year maintenance hydrotest recharge battery replacement bulb replacement and other services and repairs as mandated by Standards and codes manufacturers requirements federal state and local ordinances and procedures customer requirements and expectations and requirements of companyTroubleshoot and perform service and repair of fire extinguishers exitemergency lights and kitchen hood suppression systemsRecord and document all inspections repairs discrepancies and recommendations either electronically or manuallyMaintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow up quotes questions or concernsMaintain vehicle in clean and orderly fashion Keep vehicle stocked with parts equipment and supplies necessary to perform the jobMaintain equipment and tools necessary to safely perform jobEvaluate customer site for additional equipment and services that customer may requireWork in compliance with the Companys safety programDiscuss deficiencies noted with customer explaining the problem and its resolutionThere may be situations which require work on nights weekends andor holidays For some locations these demands will be more frequent or required than othersMust be comfortable with heights working on ladders or lifts or in confined spaces

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 years of route sales and service experience in the fire life safety industry with a concentration in extinguishers e lights and hood suppression systemsDesign and install restaurant fire suppression systems preferred
• Must possess the ability to calculate basic math including fractions decimals and percentages
• Must possess the knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions operating systems and software applications such as Windows Word Apple IOS Android and Outlook In addition required to learn and use industry specific devices and software
• Must currently have a valid US drivers license

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Overtime may be required and the number of hours may vary based on work location May be exposed to all kinds of work environments Varying work environments from hot to cold temperatures and exposure to dust Occasionally asked to travel overnight to a customer location Must be able to successfully lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Frequent lifting and carrying of toolboxes equipment parts tools equipment cabling andor wiring Frequent ladder climbing and checking pulling wire etc Walking stooping bending crouching kneeling and raising hands overhead Driving is required and the amount of time driving may vary Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment PPE for this position in accordance with safety standards
