Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in route sales, direct store delivery (DSD), grocery, food distribution, merchandising, or a related field preferred but not required.

CDL experience or a valid CDL is preferred but not required.

Experience operating handheld delivery or inventory devices is a plus.

Previous customer service or customer-facing experience preferred.

Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR).

Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, including a background check, DOT physical, and drug screen.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. The Route Sales Representative must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, and climb as necessary to load, unload, stock, and merchandise products. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods, safely entering and exiting delivery vehicles throughout the workday, and operating equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks. The employee must be able to work in refrigerated and freezer environments for extended periods and perform repetitive movements associated with handling, stocking, and rotating frozen food products. The position also requires the ability to safely drive for extended periods while remaining alert and attentive. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
