Job Summary

As a Route Sales Representative, you will develop and maintain strong customer relationships through face-to-face interactions, delivering hard goods and gas cylinders, and retrieving empty cylinders on a scheduled route in Richmond, VA. This physically demanding and time-sensitive role is rewarding as you earn customer trust by providing exceptional service. The work schedule is Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Safely load, deliver, and unload hard goods and cylinders, and retrieve empty cylinders.
  • Maintain load manifests and vehicle documentation.
  • Monitor customer needs to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimizing emergency deliveries.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain valid driver's license and endorsements.
  • Keep the truck clean and safe.
  • Assist with counter sales and store customer service.
  • Perform warehouse duties including receiving, shipping, and paperwork.
  • Fill cylinders in the pump room.
  • Support inventory management, housekeeping, and showroom displays.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred.
  • Industry knowledge and experience with compressed gases preferred.
  • Customer service or sales experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Meet physical standards for truck drivers.
  • Excellent communication, independence, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Ability to lift 25-75 lbs regularly, and over 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures.
  • Capable of climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, and other physical activities.
  • Ability to operate in a drug-free workplace environment.
