Job summary

Safety-Kleen, a subsidiary of Clean Harbors, is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee (Driver Class B Trainee) in Salt Lake City, UT. Training will prepare you to drive a Class B box truck for onsite service, waste pickup, and sales along a defined route.

CDL sponsorship will be provided by Safety-Kleen/Clean Harbors. The role involves extensive overtime, occasional travel, and safety-focused work with on-the-job training and company-paid CDL attainment.

Qualifications

• Obtain CDL B within 180 days of employment (company paid).
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 30 days of CDL B.
• Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Background check, drug test, and physical required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices.
• Complete daily services, deliveries, and pickups on schedule.
• Switch out 15- and 30-gallon drums at customer locations.
• Complete documentation and labeling for all activities.
• Generate and collect leads for new products and services.
• Sell additional products within existing accounts.
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations and rules.
• Operate vehicles per U.S. DOT and company guidelines.
• Adhere to environmental health and safety operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
