Job summary

OXARC is seeking a Route Sales professional in Nampa, Idaho to drive and deliver products to customers following established policies and procedures. You will ensure safe, accurate, and timely deliveries with attention to safety and documentation.

Responsibilities include pre-trip/post-trip inspections, load verification, proper labeling, and maintaining logs. Requirements include CDL Haz-Mat endorsement, 1+ year delivery/route sales, clean driving record, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year delivery experience.
• Route sales and customer service background preferred.
• Class A or B CDL with Haz-Mat endorsement.
• Must have valid Driver's License with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicle.
• Verify load has accurate cylinders and hard goods.
• Check that all cylinders have proper shipping labels.
• Fill out truck manifest prior to leaving store.
• Keep truck first aid kit and safety equipment up to date.
• Check straps and replace damaged ones.
• Ensure invoices have correct cylinder transactions and get signatures.
• Maintain daily trip records and logbooks.
• Inform supervisor of moving violations.
• Report any vehicle repairs as needed.

Route Sales - Nampa

OXARC has been providing welding and industrial supplies, as well as medical and specialty gases since 1968. OXARC is headquartered in Spokane, Washington with 23 stores in WA, ID and OR.

Job Summary:

Drive and deliver products to customers in a safe, productive, efficient, accurate and timely manner following established policies and procedures.

Duties Include:

• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicle.
• Verify load has accurate cylinders and hard goods.
• Check that all cylinders have proper shipping labels.
• Fill out truck manifest prior to leaving store.
• Make sure truck has first aid kit, triangles, accident kit, haz-mat guide, etc.
• Check straps, replace bad ones.
• Make sure all cylinder transactions on invoices are correct and get signatures on all invoices.
• Fill out daily trip records including logbook and duty sheets.
• Inform supervisor of all moving violations (personal and work-related).
• Follow all requirements on reporting accidents.
• Report any repairs to vehicles as needed to the supervisor.
• Other duties assigned.

Requirements include:

• At least 1 years delivery experience.
• Minimum 1 year previous experience in route sales plus 1 year customer service background preferred.
• Class A or B Commercial Drivers License with Haz-Mat endorsement.
• Must have valid Drivers License with good driving record.
• A working knowledge of safety principles and techniques.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to respond to clients and customers.
• Ability to work independently, establish priorities and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, sit, climb, or balance.
• Occasionally be required to lift up to 80 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds (with help or proper lifting device).
• Must pass drug screen, physical and background check.

Salary Range:

Expected hiring salary is $30.00/hr.
