Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Strong MS Office and Excel skills; ability to use spreadsheets and word processing software.
• Analytical and mathematical abilities with accuracy and reliability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform arithmetic with money, weight, volume, and distance.
• Willingness to learn Sysco software and programs.
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Route customer orders for multiple facilities in the most efficient way.
• Plan routes, integrate new customers, and adjust routes for seasonality.
• Analyze routes to reduce miles, delivery days, and hours for costs.
• Perform standard route maintenance and daily loading information.
• Schedule drivers within overtime guidelines and hours of service laws.
• Prepare meetings and proposals for management and sales teams.
• Maintain Roadnet system and generate reports for sales/management.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (DOT) and safety standards.
