Job summary

Harvard Maintenance seeks a dedicated janitorial associate in Fort Lauderdale to perform floor care across tile, carpet, and brick surfaces. You will clean, maintain, and complete tasks on schedule while strictly following chemical usage procedures and safety protocols.

The role requires operating floor cleaning equipment safely and working independently with minimal supervision. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma and prior experience in floor care or commercial cleaning, plus

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in floor care, janitorial, or commercial cleaning is a plus
• Knowledge of floor care techniques for various surfaces
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining floor care equipment
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe usage practices

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and care for a variety of floor types, including tile, carpet, and brick.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.
• Follow established procedures for the correct use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Operate, maintain, and care for floor cleaning equipment safely and properly.
• Consistently observe safety protocols, including the use of wet floor signs and other precautions.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Promptly report any safety hazards or concerns.
