Job summary

Harvard Maintenance is hiring for a janitorial position in Morrisville, NC. The role requires cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, with the use of cleaning equipment.

You must be able to work the 8am-4:30pm schedule, Monday to Friday, and have reliable transportation to sites. Salary is hourly, with a competitive benefit package including medical, dental, life, LTD insurance, and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
• Capable of performing the physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all basic cleaning in assigned areas.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling bins, and dispose of waste properly.
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
• Attend to spills and related clean-up tasks as needed.

• Cleaning includes sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in all areas
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
• Performs additional duties as required, including attending to flooded areas, incidental spills, and related clean-up work for trash and restroom concerns
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation to and from work sites
• Must be willing to work assigned hours
• Capable of performing the physical demands of the job, including bending, kneeling, carrying, lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods
