Job summary

AVI Foodsystems in Seymour, IN is seeking a friendly, dependable Route Floater to support our delivery teams. You will load, transport, and deliver products to client locations, ensuring proper refrigeration and accurate inventory handling.

This full-time role requires a clean driving record, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the capacity to work independently with good time management. Pre-employment drug testing and training provided.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload products for service locations.
• Deliver, transport, and deliver products to client sites.
• Fill in for service or delivery routes as needed.
• Manage inventory and stock on shelves and in vending units.
• Ensure refrigeration of cold foods in truck and at accounts.
• Collect unsold/expired merchandise and handle payments.
• Maintain vehicle and promote products to customers.
• Communicate professionally with customers and AVI team.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for a friendly and hard-working team member to fill the role of Route Floater, Full-time in Seymour, IN.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Fill in for Service Routes or Delivery Routes as needed
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently
