Qualifications

The Route Field Service Technician a liaison between Shaffer and his/her assigned locations/customers responsible for customer relations, and equipment installs and repairs. Our customers vary from bars and clubs to restaurants and bowling alleys. At Shaffer, our technicians enjoy a strong camaraderie and take immense pride in their work. A valid Non-CDL Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record check are required.

What will your day look like as a Service Technician?

• Repair and install arcade games, pool tables, dart boards and various other amusement related equipment
• Responding to service calls onsite at customer locations (bars, restaurants, family entertainment centers)
• Drive company owned vehicle to assigned customer locations on a designated route.
• Install TVs, monitors, digital jukeboxes, A/V and sound systems.
• Troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on existing equipment
• Interact with customers and other employees in a professional and courteous manner
• Helping with collection of route locations and customer payouts; must be able to handle money and do math.
• Fill and maintain all ATM’S on route.
  
  

Normal work hours are Wed & Thurs 9am-11pm and Friday 9am-12am with an hour meal break, along with rotating weekend and holiday on-call

Position Requirements

• Demonstrates adequate ability to use hand tools (Drills, Screw Drivers, etc.)
• Some experience with technical repair: computer repair, arcade, audio/visual, ATMs, electronics, etc.
• Field Service experience preferred
• Able to do math/count money
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• A valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record are essential.
• Must be at least 21 years old (some of our customers have age restricted entry)
• Organized and Punctual
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Lifting an average of 50 pounds
• Able to use hand tools
• Capable of crawling in confined spaces like ceilings and attics
• Climbing ladders
• Unloading equipment
