Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery is hiring a Route Driver responsible for representing the company while delivering and picking up freight. The role includes inspecting the vehicle, loading the truck efficiently, collecting payments for some shipments, and verifying shipments against papers. Overtime is common, with paid OT after 40 hours.

Starting wage is $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience. Requires at least 21 years old and a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Qualifications

• Good customer service skills, able to work independently.
• Ability to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers.
• Inspect vehicle and report mechanical issues.
• Load truck to maximize space and protect packages.
• Collect payments for certain deliveries.
• Verify pickups against shipping documents.
• Notify management of problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain clean, professional appearance of driver and vehicle.
