Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused NON CDL driver to operate a truck across the Taylor, MI area. You will collect sharps and medical waste from healthcare locations and deliver a high level of service daily, with autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits. This position offers a $3k sign-on bonus for new hires.

40-45 hours per week, Monday–Friday, starting around 6 AM, with a set hourly rate of $23. Benefits begin on DAY ONE.

Qualifications

• Non CDL driving experience required.
• Delivery experience with manual handling is a plus.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements and complete pre/post-trip checks.

Responsibilities

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Provide strong customer service and build positive customer relationships.
• Operate vehicles in a safe manner and meet delivery schedules.
• Load and unload, prioritize truck per schedule, and communicate changes clearly.
• Manage route per leadership directions and ensure timely service.
• Comply with DOT regulations, log hours, and complete roadside inspections.
• Heavy lifting as part of daily duties.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused NON CDL driver to operate a truck across the Taylor, MI area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits. Our vehicle fleet is modern and well-maintained. This position is offering a $3k sign-on bonus for new hires. $1k paid after 30 days of employment and $2k paid after 90 days of employment!

What will your job involve?

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner
• Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading | Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction | delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Heavy lifting

What are we looking for?

• Non CDL Driving Experience required
• Delivery experience within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling (advantageous not mandatory)
• Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
• On time delivery practices
