Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking a Non-CDL driver to operate a 26 ft box truck in the Taylor, MI area. You will collect sharps and medical waste containers, delivering high-quality customer service with autonomy and stable hours.

The role offers OT potential and competitive benefits. Compensation is $23/hour with a full-time schedule, typically 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with a sign-on bonus announced in the posting.

Qualifications

• Non-CDL Driving Experience required.
• Delivery experience in any industry with manual handling is advantageous.
• Willingness to work full time ~40 hours per week.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review.
• Flexible, customer-focused attitude.
• Experience operating vehicles up to 26 ft box trucks.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections.
• Confident in a Roadcheck Level 1–3.
• Proven longevity in past employment.
• On-time delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Providing strong customer service and building positive relationships.
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner.
• Completing deliveries to schedule and communicating changes clearly.
• Loading/unloading and organizing the truck per schedule.
• Managing routes per leadership direction and delivering timely service.
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and inspections.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs and moving carts.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused Non-CDL driver to operate a truck across the Taylor, MI area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits.

This position is offering a $3k sign-on bonus for new hires. $1k paid after 30 days of employment and $2k paid after 90 days of employment!

What will your job involve?

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner
• Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading | Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction | delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Heavy lifting - Ability to lift 50 lbs, and push and pull wheeled carts that can be a couple hundred lbs

What are we looking for?

• Non-CDL Driving Experience required
• Delivery experience within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling (advantageous not mandatory)
• Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
• On time delivery practices
