Job summary

Compass Group USA's Canteen division is hiring a Route Driver for the Micromarket program in Beaumont, TX. The role offers a full-time schedule with a fixed pay rate of $17.00 per hour and potential commission eligibility on driving roles.

The Route Driver will deliver on an established route, maintain micro market equipment, manage inventory, and build strong client relationships. Prior driving experience is valued, but a valid license is required.

Qualifications

• 3 years driving experience required.
• Preferred 1-2 years' experience in customer service, or 1 year of related experience.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate or learn material handling equipment (box truck, handcarts, etc.).
• Able to work independently, responsible for route, unsupervised most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for micro market.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
• Display understanding of company policies and how to apply them.
• Performs routine cleaning and sanitation of micro market and related equipment.
• Conducts minor service and adjustments on markets and reports defects.
• Ensure truck is loaded with products for scheduled markets each day.
• Inform regular clients of new products or services and resolve complaints.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays.
• Accountable for all receipts, invoices, and product handling.
• Conduct inventory reconciliation per district procedures.
• Keep vehicle clean and organized; perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Perform all job functions safely and professionally.
• Take on other duties as assigned.
