Compass Group USA is hiring a Route Driver for the Micromarket in Belvidere, IL. This full-time role involves delivering products via a company vehicle on a fixed route, maintaining micro market equipment, and building strong client relationships.

Requirements include 3 years of driving experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Prior customer service experience is preferred. Compensation includes benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3 years driving experience required.
• Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service position, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license (unless otherwise indicated by state).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (box truck, handcarts, etc.).
• Able to work independently, responsible for route, work unsupervised 98% of the work day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for micro market.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
• Display a clear understanding of company policies and ability to administer as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of micro market and other related equipment.
• Conducts minor service and adjustments on markets and reports defects as needed.
• Load truck with all product required to service scheduled markets following procedures.
• Inform regular clients of new products or services and resolve service complaints.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or distribute promotional materials.
• Account for all receipts, invoices, and goods.
• Conduct inventory reconciliation per district procedures.
• Keep company vehicle clean and organized; perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Perform all functions safely and professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
