Job summary

Canteen Omaha is seeking a full-time Route Driver – Micromarket to run an established route, stock and maintain micro market equipment, and represent the company professionally with clients. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, inventory accuracy, and safe vehicle operation.

This position offers advancement opportunities within a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Prior driving and merchandising experience is preferred; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 3 years driving experience required.
• Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service role, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license (state dependent).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
• Ability to operate or learn material handling equipment (box truck, handcarts, etc.).
• Able to work independently, responsible for route, work unsupervised most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for micro market.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
• Display a clear understanding of company policies and ability to administer as needed.
• Performs routine cleaning and sanitation of micro market and other related equipment.
• Conducts minor service and adjustments on markets; report defects to maintenance.
• Prior to beginning each day’s route, ensure truck is loaded with product to service markets.
• Inform regular clients and customers of new products or services and resolve complaints.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotions or promotional materials.
• Account for all receipts, invoices, cash received or collected and product.
• Inventory reconciliation according to district procedures.
• Keep company vehicle clean; perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Perform all job functions in a safe and professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
