The City of Fayetteville is seeking a full-time truck operator to support the city’s sanitation and recycling operations. The role requires a valid driver’s license, with a Class B CDL to be obtained within 90 days, and the ability to operate heavy equipment and related machinery.

Daily tasks include vehicle inspections, operating trucks on routes, collecting and sorting recyclables, maintaining equipment, and safe operation in varied weather. 40+ hours per week with benefits.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and obtain a Class B CDL within 90 days of hire.
• Must quickly learn basic computer skills and time clocks; GPS familiarity helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Perform pre and post trip inspections daily.
• Operate department trucks on routes to collect trash and recycling.
• Collect and separate recyclable items.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and perform minor repairs/diagnostics.
• Work a 10 hour day on average.
• Perform radio communications as needed.
• Ensure trucks are fueled daily and recorded.
• Collect trash/recycling safely following procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
