Job summary

The Kendall Group is seeking a Route Driver to join our Lansing area distribution team. You will drive a delivery van or box truck between customer locations, provide excellent service, load/unload cargo, and help with warehouse duties as needed.

You will maintain delivery accuracy, follow safety procedures, review routes for efficiency, and support a positive, professional image of The Kendall Group. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass

Qualifications

• Provide excellent customer service and professionalism in interactions with customers.
• Ability to drive delivery routes and operate a delivery van/box truck.
• Load and unload cargo following established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Review and optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency and timely deliveries.
• Perform daily shipping manifest duties and basic warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Driving product to various customer locations.
• Truck loading and unloading according to established procedures.
• Actively engage in reviewing and optimizing delivery routes to ensure efficiency and timely delivery, leveraging data analysis and feedback to continuously improve route performance.
• Responsible for daily shipping manifest.
• Perform warehouse duties and operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, etc.
• Maintain the delivery vehicle in excellent condition, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and regularly inspected for any mechanical issues.
• Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures.
• Safely operate additional warehouse equipment.
• Attend meetings and training sessions.
• Other tasks as assigned.
