Safety-Kleen in San Jose, CA is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver who will train to drive a Class B box truck to service parts washers, collect waste, and sell products on a defined route.

This role offers uncapped commissions, long 10–12 hour days, and paid safety training within a leading environmental services company. Competitive hourly pay starts at a base rate with overtime potential and full benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B is required.
• Hazmat endorsement obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Basic computer and math skills necessary.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as needed.
• Willingness to complete background check, drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Visit 10–12 customer sites per day.
• Switch out 15- and 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new field leads.
• Serve automotive repair, fleets and manufacturing customers.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries and pickups on time.
• Comply with local/state/federal regulations and DOT rules.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

• Valid CDL Class B
• Obtain Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire
• Basic computer and math skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills
• Commercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL)
