Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Route Driver to operate semi-trucks or vacuum trucks for collecting animal mortalities, fat and bone, or grease from customer locations. Responsibilities include inspecting materials, ensuring container cleanliness, and completing route tickets with signatures.

The role requires a CDL A (tankers) or CDL B depending on route, a clean 21+ MVR, and accurate Electronic DOT logging.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Must be at least 21 years old with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
CDL A with tanker endorsements (depending on route).
CDL B license holder (depending on route).
Must be registered on the FMCSA Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

Collects and inspects raw material at time of pickup for foreign or hazardous material.
Pumps or loads grease containers and ensures cleanliness; completes route ticket with customer signature.
Maintains an Electronic DOT log and ensures compliance with regulations.
Provides customer receipts and signs off on location.
Maintains company vehicle and follows safety rules and regulations.
Performs daily vehicle condition reports and safety inspections.
Maintains excellent customer relations with professional service.
Completes required paperwork (route tickets, vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports).
Works on assigned routes and attends safety meetings as required.
