Job summary

nexAir, LLC is seeking a dedicated driver/warehouse associate in Florida to manage deliveries of hardgoods and compressed gas cylinders. You will handle loading, unloading and return of empty cylinders, ensuring accurate manifests and documentation for each trip.

You will interact with customers on-site, relay pricing and delivery timelines, and ensure safety regulations are followed. A CDL with HazMat endorsement and DOT-compliant record are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year driving experience required.
• CDL A or B with HAZMAT required.
• Employee must meet all DOT qualification standards.

Responsibilities

• Upload, deliver and safely handle hardgoods orders and gas cylinders; return empty cylinders to refilling plant.
• Maintain load manifests and vehicle documents balanced with truck counts and shipping docs.
• Communicate with customers in person to convey costs, ordering details and delivery times.
• Identify and monitor customer needs to minimize emergency deliveries of hardgoods and cylinders.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Adhere to all safety rules at all times.

• Maintain load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
• Establish and maintain good customer relations, by communicating in person with customers, providing information on cost, ordering and delivery times, etc.
• Identify and monitor customers’ needs and work with them to maintain proper hardgoods and cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.

Qualifications

• Employee must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by the DOT.
• Clean MVR driving record.
• Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on concrete for an extended period of time, bend, use hands and arms, must be able to handle cylinders regularly weighing 150 pounds, up to a maximum of 600 pounds.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required.
