Job summary

Nexair-LL in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced CDL driver to handle the delivery of hardgoods and cylinders, including hazmat shipments. This full-time role requires a clean MVR and the ability to read MSDS.

You will maintain load manifests, communicate delivery timelines, and support safety through strict adherence to DOT rules and company procedures. Overtime may be required; you must be a team player and reliable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year driving experience required.
• CDL A or B with HAZMAT.
• DOT physical standards required.
• Clean MVR driving record.

Responsibilities

• Upload, deliver and download hardgoods orders and gas cylinders safely.
• Maintain load manifests and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
• Establish and maintain good customer relations, communicating information on cost, ordering and delivery times.
• Identify and monitor customers’ needs to minimize emergency deliveries.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.

Job description

• Upload, deliver and download safely to customers hardgoods orders, as well as, cylinders containing compressed gases; return empty cylinders to plant for refilling.
• Maintain load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
• Establish and maintain good customer relations, by communicating in person with customers, providing information on cost, ordering and delivery times, etc.
• Identify and monitor customers’ needs and work with them to maintain proper hardgoods and cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One (1) year driving experience.
• CDL A or B with HAZMAT.
• Employee must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by the DOT.
• Clean MVR driving record.
• Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Flexibility to work overtime as required.
