Job summary

Meyer is seeking a Box Truck Delivery Driver (non CDL) to run routes and deliver goods on time while complying with DOT regulations. The role offers a starting pay of $19.00 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and a quarterly driver safety bonus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience driving 26–28 ft box trucks or CMVs over 10,001 lbs.
• Valid truck driver license with state-specific endorsement.
• Willing to submit to drug screens and background checks; DOT medical card.
• No recent driving violations; maintain insurability.
• Ability to operate / drive a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries and meet schedules.
• Load/unload, maneuver into position, and complete delivery paperwork.
• Comply with truck driving rules, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
• Inspect vehicles, report defects, and coordinate maintenance.
• Communicate with Fleet Management on issues; heavy lifting up to 75+ lbs.

Box Truck Driver duties include but are not limited to:

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules.
• Maneuver trucks into position in order to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents and violations.
• Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.
• Heavy lifting 75+lbs.

Requirements for Box Truck Driver (non CDL):

• 1-3 years of previous experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs. (Required)
• Valid truck driver license and relative endorsement for the specific state.
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
• No recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
• Operate / Drive a forklift.
