Job summary

Meyer Logistics is seeking an experienced Box Truck Driver (non CDL) to deliver routes on a Monday–Friday schedule, 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with a pay rate of $19.00/hour and a focus on safety and reliability.

You will operate 26-28 ft box trucks, complete required paperwork, and ensure DOT compliance while maintaining timely deliveries. Forklift operation and heavy lifting may be required as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or similar
• Valid truck driver license with state endorsement
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical card
• No recent moving or driving violations and able to remain insurable
• Operate / Drive a forklift

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries and meet schedules
• Load/unload deliveries and park/position trucks as needed
• Comply with truck driving rules and DOT regulations
• Inspect vehicles for safety and perform preventative maintenance
• Report defects, accidents and violations
• Complete paperwork for company and DOT regulations
• Coordinate with Fleet Management on maintenance
• Heavy lifting of up to 75 lbs+

Schedule for Box Truck Delivery Driver (non CDL):

• $19.00/hour
• Monday – Friday
• 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (End Time Varies on Most Days Due to Workload / Coverage)

Box Truck Driver duties include but are not limited to:

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules.
• Maneuver trucks into position in order to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents and violations.
• Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.
• Heavy lifting 75+lbs.

Requirements for Box Truck Driver (non CDL):

• 1-3 years of previous experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs. (Required)
• Valid truck driver license and relative endorsement for the specific state.
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
• No recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
• Operate / Drive a forklift.
