Job summary

Meyer is seeking an experienced non-CDL Box Truck Driver to join our Omaha team. You will drive company trucks for route deliveries, unload/load goods, and ensure timely, compliant deliveries. A valid license and DOT readiness are required, with safety and reliability at the core of this role.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a $22.00/hour base, plus quarterly safety bonuses and standard benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience driving 26–28 ft box trucks or similar in CDL/Non-CDL role.
• Valid truck driver license with appropriate state endorsement.
• Willing to pass drug screens, background checks, and maintain DOT medical card.
• No recent driving violations and insurability under standard market rate.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks to complete route deliveries and meet schedules.
• Load and unload deliveries, maneuvering trucks into position.
• Comply with trucking rules and regulations and perform basic vehicle inspections.
• Complete DOT paperwork and reports as required.
• Communicate maintenance issues to Fleet Management.
• Heavy lifting of 75+ lbs.

Schedule for Box Truck Delivery Driver (non CDL):

Box Truck Driver duties include but are not limited to:

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules.
• Maneuver trucks into position in order to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents and violations.
• Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.
• Heavy lifting 75+lbs.

Requirements for Box Truck Driver (non CDL):

• 1-3 years of previous experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs. (Required)
• Valid truck driver license and relative endorsement for the specific state.
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
• No recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
• Operate / Drive a forklift.
