Job description

Position: Local NonCDL Route Driver

Minimum Requirements: Class R License

Schedule: Monday - Friday, starting at 5am, 4 days of 10-hour shifts, no weekends

Pay: $28.75/hr + OT

Position Purpose:

The Driver Route Hybrid Non CDL fills in as a Commercial non-CDL driver, supporting Shred-it and Medical Waste operations. Responsibilities include servicing routes, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining safety and compliance standards. As a key member of the Operations team, you'll represent Stericycle and uphold our standards and values.

Key Job Activities:

1. Perform onsite/offsite document destruction and medical waste pickup and transport, adhering to all regulations.
2. Plan daily routes based on customer needs, review paperwork, and prepare trucks accordingly.
3. Ensure waste is packaged and ready for transport, and provide high-quality customer service.
4. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues.
5. Operate equipment safely, comply with laws, and complete all documentation accurately.
6. Maintain security and proper handling of documents and waste containers.
7. Communicate effectively with supervisors about route changes or issues.
8. Manage routes efficiently, respond to customer inquiries, and perform routine vehicle maintenance.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of driving experience, preferably with Shred Trucks or Box Trucks.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Age 21 or older.
• Ability to obtain a medical card from a certified examiner.
• English proficiency sufficient for communication and reporting.

Certifications:

• Driver's License
• Medical Examiner's Certification
