Job summary

Meyer is seeking an experienced Box Truck Driver (non-CDL) to join our growing family-owned team in Minnesota. This role involves delivering on a route with a box truck, ensuring safety and compliance, and completing required paperwork.

Daily schedule is Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST with potential overrun; includes a quarterly safety bonus and comprehensive benefits, plus opportunities for advancement within a supportive, family-focused company.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience driving 26-28 ft box trucks or similar over 10,001 lbs.
• Valid truck driver license with state endorsement.
• Willing to pass drug screens, background checks, and maintain a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries and meet schedules.
• Assist with loading/unloading and position trucks as needed.
• Comply with DOT regulations and inspect vehicles for safety.

Schedule for Box Truck Delivery Driver (non CDL):

• $22.00/hour
• Monday – Friday
• 5:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. CST (End Time Varies on Most Days Due to Workload / Coverage)

Box Truck Driver duties include but are not limited to:

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules.
• Maneuver trucks into position in order to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents and violations.
• Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.
• Heavy lifting 75+lbs.

Requirements for Box Truck Driver (non CDL):

• 1-3 years of previous experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs. (Required)
• Valid truck driver license and relative endorsement for the specific state.
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
• No recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
• Operate / Drive a forklift.
