Job summary

PRG is seeking a Project Manager to lead a route-based fiber construction/maintenance program from its office location. You will own the schedule, budget, quality, and client relationships, escalating decisions when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or related field.
• Prior experience managing project schedules, budgets, and field-based teams in fiber/telecom outside plant construction or related field-services.
• Experience coordinating route-based outside-plant or field-locate personnel is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of fiber engineering fundamentals, outside plant construction practices, and 811 process knowledge.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and staffing plans and report on project financials and status.
• Strong client-facing communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Sharp organizational skills to prioritize across a multi-route program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Project.
• PMP certification is a plus, not required.
• Able to work in person from a PRG office location.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of the route-based construction/maintenance program, as the primary accountability for schedule, budget, quality, and scope.
• Escalation point for field issues requiring higher-level decisions.
• Coordinate with route-based Construction Coordinators to balance coverage and workload.
• Build and maintain project schedules, staffing plans, and budgets; flag risks.
• Review completed work against SOW for quality and adherence to standards.
• Act as the primary client-facing contact for status updates and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to staff and resource the program.
• Analyze field data and 811 locate activity to identify trends and improvements.
• Prepare and present status reports and program metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
• Assist recruiting, onboarding, and training of Construction Coordinators.
