Job summary

City Market is seeking a Rounder in its Prepared Foods Department to assist in production of meals according to daily lists. This role involves prepping, labeling, stocking, and maintaining clean production stations to ensure tasty, fresh offerings.

The position is union-eligible (UE Local 203), non-exempt, and located at all City Market locations. Experience in line cook or kitchen duties is preferred, with culinary education considered a plus.

Qualifications

• One year of line cook, sous chef or chef experience OR two years of kitchen required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in preparation, stocking and cleaning of all food display and production stations.
• Ensuring products are labeled and rotated in all food storage and refrigerated areas.
• Gathering ingredients from storage or from other departments as necessary.
• Assisting with receiving and stocking new products when needed.
• Ensuring that finished products are tasty, fresh and attractive.
• Compliance with established City Market procedures and practices regarding operations, sales, safety, and security.
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

City Market Co-Op is seeking a Rounder to assist in the production of food in our Prepared Foods Department! This includes creating tasty meals according to daily production lists.
