Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is hiring for a forklift operator role to support precast concrete production, loading/unloading materials and moving products within the facility and yard.

The position requires experience with rough terrain forklifts, safety first, reliability, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. High school diploma or GED is required, with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience operating rough terrain forklifts or large-capacity industrial forklifts in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment.
• Ability to safely move oversized, heavy, or irregularly shaped materials and products.
• Knowledge of forklift safety, load securement, and material handling best practices.
• Ability to inspect equipment and identify potential safety or maintenance issues.
• Ability to work independently, follow written and verbal instructions, and maintain reliable attendance.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate rough terrain forklifts and other heavy material handling equipment to support precast concrete production operations.
• Transport, load, unload, and stage concrete products, forms, materials, and supplies throughout the facility and yard.
• Follow all safety policies, operating procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain safe traffic flow and material storage practices in production and yard areas.
• Assist production crews with material handling and general labor activities as needed.
• Support daily production schedules while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
