Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance of park facilities and grounds, including restrooms, picnic areas, shelters, campgrounds, trails, and common outdoor spaces.
  • Mow lawns; trim, rake, weed, and clear vegetation; and maintain landscaped areas such as flower beds.
  • Maintain Park trails by clearing debris, trimming vegetation, and completing light repairs.
  • Collect and properly dispose of trash and recyclables throughout the park to keep areas clean and presentable.
  • Assist with minor repairs to buildings, fences, signs, and park equipment.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools and groundskeeping equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles, following safety procedures.
  • Set up and take down signage, barricades, and equipment for events or seasonal needs.
  • Monitor Park grounds for safety hazards and report issues to supervisors.
  • Support other park staff during emergencies, special events, or high-traffic periods.
  • Interact courteously and respectfully with park visitors and provide basic information when needed.
