Fletcher Development LLC, a luxury custom home builder, is seeking an experienced Rough/Finish Carpenter to join our team. We specialize in high-end custom residential construction, where craftsmanship, precision, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship are essential.
We are looking for a skilled, hands-on carpenter who is equally comfortable performing rough and finish work and understands that in luxury construction, the details matter.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality rough and finish carpentry on luxury residential projects
- Perform framing, blocking, backing, modifications, and other rough carpentry as needed
- Layout, measure, cut, fit, and install architectural components accurately
- Install doors, jambs, windows, hardware, trim, moldings, baseboard, casing, paneling, and custom millwork
- Perform stair, railing, built-in, and specialty architectural installations as required
- Read and interpret construction plans, elevations, details, and specifications
- Work confidently with a variety of materials and high-end finishes
- Anticipate field conditions, identify potential issues before they become problems, and work with the project team to develop practical solutions
- Coordinate effectively with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other trades
- Maintain exceptionally clean, organized, and professional work areas
- Safety is of the utmost importance on every Fletcher Development project. Maintain and comply with all company safety policies, OSHA standards and jobsite safety protocols.
- Complete work accurately and efficiently while maintaining the craftsmanship expected in luxury custom construction
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional carpentry experience, preferably in high-end residential construction
- Demonstrated experience in both rough and finish carpentry
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and construction plans
- Excellent measuring, layout, installation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and construction techniques
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a construction team and other trades
- Professional attitude, communication skills, and jobsite conduct
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and work with construction materials and equipment
