Job summary

Life Flight Network seeks a Rotor Wing Pilot to safely operate aircraft in support of critically ill or injured patients. The role requires extensive flight time, command experience, and strong communication under pressure.

The candidate will perform flight planning, pre/post checks, and load coordination while traveling across the service area. A Commercial Helicopter certificate with Instrument rating and a second-class medical are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• FAA Commercial Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Helicopter Rating required.
• FAA second class flight physical required.
• Total time: 2000 hours; PIC: 1500 hours; rotor wing turbine: 1000 hours.
• Nighttime flying: 100 hours unaided.
• Experience in air medical transport and NVG preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate rotor-wing aircraft safely and professionally to facilitate care.
• Perform pre- and post-flight inspections and flight planning.
• Coordinate loading of patients, baggage, and cargo; assess weather conditions.
• Maintain logs and reports; travel within service area as required.
