Job summary

Life Flight Network in Pendleton, OR seeks a Rotor Wing Pilot to operate aircraft safely and professionally for care of critically ill or injured patients. Candidates should possess FAA Commercial Helicopter Certificate with Instrument rating and substantial flight experience.

The role requires working varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with travel within LFN’s service area. Prior air medical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience as a professional pilot preferred.
  • 2000 hours Total Time required.
  • 1500 hours Pilot in Command.
  • 1000 R/W Turbine hours required.
  • 100 hours instrument time preferred, 50 hours required.
  • 100 hours of nighttime required.
  • Pilots with air medical transportation experience preferred.
  • Must hold FAA Commercial Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Helicopter Rating.
  • Must have and maintain FAA second class flight physical.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent grammar; verbal and written communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate rotor-wing aircraft safely and professionally to facilitate care of patients.
  • Work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform pre- and post-flight inspections and flight planning.
  • Maintain flight logs, records, and written reports.
  • Travel by personal or company vehicle as required.
