Job summary

Med-Trans is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) in Lovington, NM, with a starting salary ranging from $91,335 to $132,340 annually, including a 40% geo modifier. The role includes an IA stipend of $2,080 and a $12,500 sign-on bonus.

The AMT will support Bell 407 airframes, ensuring aircraft safety and on-time patient transport services. Minimum qualifications include Bell 407 maintenance experience, three years of turbine helicopter maintenance with recent work, an A&P license, and

Qualifications

• Bell 407 maintenance experience required.
• Three years of turbine helicopter maintenance with last 24 months having at least six months helicopter maintenance.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• FAR knowledge.
• Experience with EMS systems and aircraft maintenance records.
• Flex schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Must pass FAA drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and push/pull 100+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections and repairs, with regular status updates to Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks, update equipment tracking logs, and place replacement requests as needed.
• Document service paperwork and FAA information per policies, ensuring information security compliance.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment for the maintenance team and flight crew.
• Communicate effectively with departments, vendors, and team members to coordinate efforts.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and other AMTs and operations staff.
