Job summary

Air Methods is seeking a licensed Aircraft Mechanic in Cincinnati, Ohio to maintain, repair, inspect, and alter company aircraft in accordance with FARs and internal procedures. This role supports a hospital-based partnership with Children’s Hospital and ensures proper documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2–5 years related experience.
  • Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred.
  • FAR 135 operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Verify part numbers and serial numbers match documentation during installation/removal of components.
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance documentation complies with regulations, policies, procedures and manuals.
  • Participate in the safety SMS program and follow SMS policies, processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, professional work area.
  • Advise the Pilot in Command of any maintenance issues that could take an aircraft out of service.
  • Validate data in the Status Report for aircraft being worked on.
  • Request aviation parts to maintain an adequate stock for prompt repairs.
