Job summary

ASRC Federal Communications seeks a Stationary Engineer for the ISS2 contract supporting the Air Force at Eareckson Air Station, Alaska. This rotational position offers on-site dormitory housing and meals with government-provided transport from Anchorage.

The successful candidate will operate and maintain a power plant including four 4.4 MW engines and 33 standby generators, ensuring safety compliance and reliable operation in a remote, unionized environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years' related work experience in operations or maintenance.
• U.S. citizen.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, fingerprints and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains four 4.4-megawatt engine-driven generators located in the primary power plant.
• Operates and maintains 33 emergency standby generators ranging from 10kw to 500 kw.
• Maintains proficiency in all areas of operations and maintenance.
• Maintains, repairs, and overhauls equipment including pumps, lube oil systems, and related components.
• Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems.
