Job summary

Unum is seeking high-potential graduates for its three- to four-year PDP Associate rotation program designed to fast-track leadership. You will gain experience across Benefits, Underwriting, Customer Services, Enrollment, Finance, and Digital Transformation, with rotations typically lasting 12–18 months depending on role and business needs.

Locations may include Chattanooga, TN; Portland, ME; and Columbia, SC, with strong encouragement to work at two sites during the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience on campus, in community, or from past work.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and develop new business processes.
• Creative problem solving and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong influence, persuasion and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete 3-4 cross-functional rotations with required training, assignments and projects.
• Demonstrate outstanding performance in assigned roles.
• Partner with management to gain deeper knowledge of each function.
• Work with a mentor and develop a personal development plan.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of Unum’s products, services and processes.
• Possess leadership qualities and mentor junior peers; may manage a team.
• Lead special projects requiring research, analysis and operational evaluation.
• Communicate issues and resolutions clearly to leadership.
• Collaborate on enterprise-wide projects and initiatives.
