Job summary

Pilot Assessments.Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and hold an FAA ATP with multi‑engine privileges. The role requires extensive Arctic flying, remote location work, and strict safety adherence.

As PIC or SIC, you will conduct preflight planning, weight & balance, fuel calculations, and log daily flight records while maintaining superb safety standards and professional conduct with partners and officials alike.

Qualifications

• FAA ATP license required.
• First Class Medical Certificate required.
• FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit required.
• Minimum flight experience: 2,500 hours total; 1,500 hours multi-engine; 500 hours multi-engine PIC; 75 hours total/50 hours instrument; 100 night takeoffs/landings.

Responsibilities

• Operate as PIC or SIC on DHC-6 and CASA-212 aircraft for passengers and cargo.
• Maintain safety culture and SMS per company standards.
• Comply with FAA and regulatory standards; follow PPE requirements.
• Coordinate fueling, weather, NOTAMs, routing, and flight planning.
• Maintain communication with Aviation Operations Support and report safety issues.
• Perform pre/post flight inspections and daily flight records.
• Participate in remote arctic operations scheduling and tasks.

The mission

Serve as Pilot‑in‑Command or Second‑in‑Command on DHC‑6 and CASA‑212 aircraft, transporting company‑approved passengers and cargo safely, compliantly and efficiently across the North Slope. You’ll also contribute through collateral ground duties that keep our arctic operation running smoothly.

What you’ll do

• Champion ConocoPhillips Alaska’s Incident‑Free Safety Culture and Safety Management System (SMS).


• Comply with company programs, policies, procedures and PPE requirements; meet all FAA and applicable regulatory standards.


• Operate company aircraft to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient transport of passengers and cargo.


• Represent the company ethically and professionally with business partners, officials and customers; communicate effectively with peers and leadership.


• Execute PIC/SIC duties: pre‑and post‑flight inspections; fuel load calculations and fueling coordination; comprehensive preflight planning (weather, NOTAMs, routing, airfield conditions, TFRs, flight risk assessment, passenger/cargo loads); weight‑and‑balance computations; completion of daily flight records.


• Maintain continuous communication with Aviation Operations Support regarding aircraft/crew status and the flight schedule throughout the duty day.


• Identify and report safety issues or irregularities for entry into the company’s safety database for assessment, risk analysis and corrective action.


• Support additional aviation operations tasks as assigned.

What you’ll bring (Basic/Required)

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.


• Valid passport with no restrictions for international travel.


• FAA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATP) with Airplane Multi‑Engine Land rating (ATP — unrestricted or restricted).


• Current, valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.


• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.


• Minimum flight experience: 2,500 hours total; 1,500 hours multi‑engine airplane; 500 hours multi‑engine airplane PIC; 75 hours total/50 hours actual instrument; 100 night takeoffs and landings.


• Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work at a remote arctic location on a one‑week‑on/one‑week‑off schedule and meet all physical and environmental requirements.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aviation, Aeronautics or a related technical field (or foreign equivalent).


• CASA C‑212 type rating/experience; DHC‑6 experience.


• Current Certificated Flight Instructor ratings (CFII, MEI).


• 3+ years of operational experience in an arctic environment.


• 3+ years in a multi‑crew environment.


• 3+ years in a company training or standards role.


• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Work environment & physical demands

• Remote North Slope operations with temperature extremes and adverse weather; strict adherence to PPE requirements.


• Frequent ingress/egress from aircraft and vehicles; access to all approved areas of the DHC‑6 and CASA‑212, including baggage and cabin compartments.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; this is a designated safety‑sensitive position.
