Job summary

Honda is seeking an Accountant to join our team in Ohio. The role involves month-end close, budget vs. actual analyses, and creating budget events with supervision. You will work with department managers to analyze financial data and present insights to leadership.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (or an Associate’s with 2 years experience), GAAP/IFRS understanding, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills. Willingness to relocate across North America is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or an Associate's with 2+ years in accounting
• GAAP/IFRS knowledge and Cost Accounting background
• Strong analytical, problem solving, presentation and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; SAP knowledge is a plus
• Willingness to relocate to Honda locations across North America

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end close activities and journal entries.
• Prepare budget vs. actual analyses for departments.
• Create budget events and present findings to department leaders.
• Develop presentations to explain budget-to-actual conditions and recommendations for improvements.
